Infor Nexus announced a groundbreaking solution at NRF 2025.
NexTrace is a solution designed to boost customer transparency and supply chain traceability, helping businesses navigate rising DPP regulation in the EU

Infor Nexus, the leading global supply chain platform used by companies like DB Schenker and Levi’s, has announced a groundbreaking solution at NRF 2025.

NRF, held in New York City, is one of the world's biggest retail executive events held to showcase the latest innovations of the sector.

One innovation showcased by Infor Nexus was NexTrace, a solution designed to boost customer transparency and supply chain traceability.

In an era where supply chain visibility is critical to mitigate disruption and uphold regulation, this solution offers businesses a competitive edge.

This competitive edge will be especially prominent with the rise of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), expected to be fully implemented in the EU by 2026 and made mandatory either then or in the years before 2030.

NexTrace helps businesses meet regulatory demands such as the DPP and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), whilst enhancing the broader supply chain.

“Last June, we launched Map and Trace, which empowers our customers to map their supply chains and collect documentation from multiple supplier tiers," says Brian Carelli, Infor VP, Sustainability and Partnerships.

" Map and Trace provides evidence of chain of custody compliance with regulations such as the US UFLPA and the French AGEC law.

"With NexTrace, we're taking this to the next level by proactively gathering full-scale item-level traceability from each tier of the supply chain.

"This will help our customers to not only meet upcoming regulations like the EU Digital Product Passport but also gain a competitive edge by providing comprehensive data on their products' journey, composition and sustainability."

Enhancing sustainability through streamlined traceability

The DPP is set to have a profound impact on supply chains

NexTrace delivers end-to-end visibility by tracking raw materials to finished products and beyond, ensuring complete traceability across the supply chain.

By integrating supplier ESG data and certificates, it offers a holistic view of sustainability and compliance.

Powered by AI, NexTrace simplifies data collection from multi-tier suppliers, reducing manual effort and ensuring accuracy.

The platform also supports RFID scanning, enabling seamless chain-of-custody tracking and boosting efficiency across the supply chain.

A unified platform for supply chain efficiency

Infor Nexus has created a platform that enhances supply chain transparency and sustainability

By connecting to Infor Nexus, companies can tap into an established network of over 94,000 brands, retailers and suppliers.

NexTrace integrates traceability data with existing processes on a single platform, reducing reliance on multiple systems.

This approach accelerates compliance efforts, improves operational efficiency and enhances transparency for consumers subsequently fostering greater trust and sustainability across the supply chain.

The team at Infor Nexus was proud to tout the NexTrace platform at NRF 2025, emphasising its distinctiveness as a solution to handle DPP regulation.

“Vendors will be eager to tout their Digital Product Passport solutions at NRF, but their focus is often on flashy features, rather than the minutiae of how to feed such data-hungry systems," says Carelli.

"At NRF, we look forward to demonstrating how trace data is built and how to scale a system of this magnitude."
