What does Ivalua offer BAE Systems Australia?

As Australia’s largest defence company, BAE Systems Australia relies on a network of more than 1,600 suppliers.

Its role in providing design, manufacture and support services to the Australian Defence Force, as well as commercial and cyber intelligence organisations, is crucial.

The implementation of Ivalua’s software offers BAE Systems Australia a comprehensive view of its supply chain through a centralised platform. This improves communication, standardises processes and drives efficiency across its national supplier network.

The aerospace and defence sectors are known for their complexity and strict regulatory requirements, including compliance with Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR) and Defence Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Ivalua’s platform will ensure BAE Systems meets these obligations efficiently, mitigating risks and maintaining compliance.

Andrew Stafford, VP of APAC, Ivalua

Andrew Stafford, VP for APAC at Ivalua, comments: “We’re proud to partner with a global leader such as BAE Systems Australia to enable their source-to-pay transformation.

"Ivalua is perfectly placed to empower businesses in the aerospace and defence industry to navigate their increasingly intricate supply chains and proactively manage daily challenges that threaten to disrupt their operations.”

Supporting automation and collaboration

Ivalua’s platform will support BAE Systems Australia in building a sovereign defence industry by improving collaboration between its suppliers and internal teams.

The increased automation provided by the platform will also streamline complex supply chain regulations for organisations in the defence sector.

Shaun Barrett, Supply Chain Director, BAE Systems Australia

Shaun Barrett, Supply Chain Director at BAE Systems Australia, explains: “With its proven track record and expertise in the aerospace and defence industry, robust security standards and ability to provide unparalleled visibility into both direct and indirect spend, Ivalua is the ideal partner for our digital modernisation journey.

"It will enable us to meet our complex supply chain requirements while enhancing automation and driving greater operational efficiency."

Ivalua has built a strong presence in the global aerospace and defence industry, with clients such as Rolls Royce, Teledyne Technologies, SAAB and Thales using its spend management platform to streamline operations.
