Unipart has appointed Andy Pyne as its new Chief Sustainability Officer, further advancing its commitment to sustainability. A seasoned leader with more than 25 years at Unipart, Andy takes on this role to drive sustainability, safety and wellbeing across the company.
On his appointment, Andy said: “Sustainability is deeply embedded in our culture at Unipart, driving long-term growth for employees, customers, suppliers and local communities.”
As part of the Executive Leadership Team, Andy reports to CEO Darren Leigh. He will lead the company’s sustainability strategies, focusing on achieving its ambitious net zero by 2040 target. Andy played a pivotal role in validating these goals through the Science Based Targets initiative in 2023.
With a rich history of leadership in various Unipart sectors, Andy’s passion for the business and its people aligns with Unipart's focus on delivering sustainable growth for its employees, customers and stakeholders. His experience positions him to oversee key areas like security and health and safety, building on Unipart’s reputation for excellence in these fields.
CEO Darren Leigh praised Andy’s appointment, stating: “Andy’s leadership will be vital in ensuring we meet our sustainability commitments and deliver value for our customers and colleagues alike.” Andy himself highlights Unipart’s deep-rooted sustainability culture, where teams work collectively toward shared environmental goals.
