Supply Chain Digital takes a look at the big-name executives who have been on the move in recent weeks

Job From: COO at Huboo

Job To: COO at Kinaxia Logistics

Kinaxia Logistics has started 2025 on the front foot with the appointment of Allan Blakeley as COO.

Allan has more than 30 years worth of experience in UK and European logistics and e-commerce fulfilment and will drive business efficiencies and prioritise operational excellence for customers.

Previous COO Simon Nelson has moved to the new post of Managing Director for Contract Logistics, aiming to develop and expand Kinaxia’s key customer base and contract logistics services.

Welcoming Allan to Kinaxia’s senior team, Gareth Jenkins, the firm’s newly-appointed Executive Chairman, said: “His arrival ensures we have the experience, expertise and leadership to consolidate our market position, develop our customer proposition and deliver the highest-quality logistics services to our existing and new clients.”

Headquartered in North West England, Kinaxia employs around 1,600 people and operates a fleet of 1,000 vehicles, transporting goods for the retail, leisure, food and drink and manufacturing sectors. Its national network of hubs provides a full source-to-shelf logistics service.

The appointments of both Allan and Gareth come as Kinaxia takes a step forward in the delivery of its strategic plans with details of its investment programme for 2025. Areas being prioritised include technology, service excellence, talent retention and sustainability.

“It’s clear from my 25 years spanning different organisations that success is delivered by the quality of the people you have,” added Gareth. “In Kinaxia I can already see that drive for improvement everywhere.

“Underpinning this will be new investment during 2025 to help deliver the strategy to build a platform for long-term, sustainable growth and drive transformation in key areas, including operational efficiency, technology and sustainability.”
